The Green Ant opened in the spring of 1998. It started as a small shop, about 700 sq. ft. on the second floor of an established used furniture store. Sort of a store within a store. Focusing on authentic 50's design, it didn't take long to carve a small niche in Salt Lake.

After 16 months of growth it was time to relocate. So off to Sugarhouse we went. We found the perfect location and after a month and a half of renovations The Green Ant re-opened at 2011 S. 1100 E. in Salt Lake City.

Fast forward about 10 years to March 2009 and we have a new home at 179 E. Broadway in they heart of downtown Salt Lake City. It is a fantastic location right on the corner surrounded by locally owned shops. We want to give a big thanks to all our wonderfully loyal customersthat have stayed with us through the years.

One very exiciting change with the new location is Gallery Stroll. Here in our new show room you will find us open every 3rd Friday night of the month enjoying the Gallery Stroll crowds. Stop in and say hello.
